Smt. Hema Lele
Smt. Hema Lele is one of the prominent authors and poets from Maharashtra. Today her name has become synonymic with contemporary Marathi literature. She has completed her graduation and post-graduation from the prestigious Pune University with Marathi literature as her principal subject for which she stood first in university and was awarded, Gold Medal.
Hema Lele, as the editor has successfully and consciously made efforts to revive the readers’ interests through, ‘Stree and Kirloskar’ the two prominent monthly magazines. She has been instrumental in establishing Surabhee Cultural Academy Pune in 1996. Hema Lele in her Creative Pursuit has acted with prominent theatre personalities in noted, Marathi plays and theatrical shows like ‘Teen paisha ch Tamasha, Mahanirvan, Saunshaykallol, Veluche ban, Chimgani, Priy’ and also has travelled nationally and internationally for her Solo Poem recitations which have been critically acclaimed by the audiences. She has published a lot of literature through various magazines and newspapers along with this she has a long list of 63 books in her name as an author. She has been felicitated by many awards and accolades for her contributions in the field of Marathi literature.
Madhura Kulkarni
Madhura Kulkarni is one of the established Classical dancers from Pune, Maharashtra. She has been formally trained for more than two decades from a very young age under the guidance of Guru Smt. Manik Ambike. Madhura with her aesthetic sensibility has made an individualistic contribution to the genre of Classical Indian Dance.
She established “Surabhee Cultural Academy” Pune in 1996 under the guidance and assistance of her mother and noted Marathi Poetess Hema Subhash Lele. Madhura is a dedicated teacher and earnest performer, who has won many significant awards, honors, certificates under her name. Madhura has travelled nationally and internationally as a reputed performer, teacher, and choreographer. She has a keen interest in other performing arts and has also acted in few noted Marathi films and television serials like Gharabaher, Sangharsh Jivnacha, Purv Janam ka Pritam and Palsala Pane Pach, etc…
