I have been learning Bharatnatyam at this dance academy for over 10 years and it has been an amazing experience! I fell in love with this art form. I joined Surabhi Cultural Academy when I was 6 years old. At first, I was not interested in Bharatnatyam dance and used to give reasons to skip classes. But slowly I started to develop interest and also improved in dancing. This is all because of my Guru, Madhura Kulkarni. Surabhi Cultural Academy has taught me a lot. Not only it taught me dance, but also different life lessons like consistency, perseverance, and hard work to achieve anything. Surabhi Cultural Academy has given me many beautiful memories like various programs, hours-long practices, and many more. It’s been almost 17 years I’m a part of this academy and I would never trade this for anything.

I joined Madhura Tai’s class when I was 4years old and have been learning from her ever since. It’s been 16 years and I’m grateful to have been a part of this journey, I could witness the transformation of this dance class into a fine institution. Madhura Tai has an eye for detail and encourages all of us to keep learning and improving. Dance is no longer just a hobby but a mode of expression. Tai has always supported us, boosted our confidence, and provided us various opportunities to showcase our talents and hone our skills. I’m happy to be a part of this organization.

I joined Surabhi’s cultural academy when I was in 2nd grade, since then it has been over 10 years and I have completed madhyama poorna and will be shortly appearing for visharad pratham. I am at this position in this art form entirely due to the dedication and firmness of the teachers at Surabhi cultural academy.
